Around the end of last year, I decided to try out to join the VIT Leo Club. Honestly, I’d heard much about it from my peers and was curious to see the kind of work they were into. Besides, it was something to satisfy my desire to do something for my community. Surprisingly I got into the Editorial department of the same. Little did I know that this club was going to change my life for the better.

Joining the club made me realise the importance of experience in our daily lives. Only through experience can we make an informed decision in matters that significantly affect our lives. However, as young people, we simply do not have the time to gain experience for many tasks, which is what makes meeting different people with different backgrounds crucial. Though it may not be as good as first-hand experience, it is the best thing we can do to get a headstart at our age.

Experiences have helped me a lot in life. There have been many situations where experience with a particular task has proven to be beneficial to me and others. One time in particular that comes to my mind is transferring data between different phones, which I had a lot of experience in. This immensely helped me ensure a seamless transition whenever I received a new smartphone and also in helping friends and family members who decided to purchase new smartphones but were unaware of how to transfer their critical data. Moreover, my experience with computer applications unexpectedly helped me in my academics regarding the various projects and assignments I had to complete as part of my college education.

This is another benefit of experience, which is that it may help you in other seemingly unrelated fields with no problem. Experiences in one area may ultimately end up helping you excel at other domains which you may previously have not taught possible.

In conclusion, experience is a precious resource that is hard to come by. The only way we can gain experience is by relentless practice and interaction with people from all walks of life. This can help us make the most informed decisions and ultimately excel in life.
